REPORT: Mountain Lion Now Accounts For 3% Of Mac Web Traffic

Mac users are not hesitating to upgrade to the Mountain Lion operating system.  Now the Mac Mountain Lion operating system accounts for 3% of Mac web traffic around the world according to Chitika.

Mountain Lion has 200 new features that are built on top of the Lion operating system.  Mountain Lion costs $20 to upgrade from Lion through the Mac App Store.

Chitika based the report on 66 million Mac users Apple claims that they have.  About 2.1 million Mac owners have upgraded to Mountain Lion.

If about 90% of users paid for the operating system, that means that Mountain Lion generated around $38 million in revenues.
