Pinterest is currently in talks to raise a round of funding that would value the company at around $2-$2.5 billion according to The Wall Street Journal.  The Wall Street Journal did not reveal the investors or the amount involved in the funding.

Pinterest is known for allowing users to pin items from across the web to their virtual pin-boards.  The service is especially popular for users posting recipes, fashion, and decorations.

Pinterest raised $100 million in funding at a $1.5 billion valuation this past May.  The company has raised a total of $137 million thus far and currently does not have a revenue model.  The company grew over 1,000% year-over-year in 2012.
