There are over 2 million people in China that are employed by the government to monitor web activities, according to state media. The Beijing News reports that the monitors, known as Internet opinion analysts, are on the state and commercial payrolls.
There are hundreds of millions of Internet users in China that vents their frustration with the government. The monitors are not required for deleting postings.
