Report: Twitter Bootstrap Is Used On 1% Of The Web

Twitter Bootstrap is collection of tools that can be used for creating websites and web applications based on HTML and CSS_based design templates.  Currently Twitter Bootstrap is the most popular project on software development repository, GitHub.

Twitter Bootstrap started out as an internal project at Twitter.  It was spearheaded by Mark Otto and Jacob Thornton.  Millions of people use Twitter Bootstrap to quickly launch a clean and responsive website.

Meanpath used their source code search engine to pull a random selection of 100 million websites and they found clear Twitter Bootstrap signatures on about 981,608 of them.

Bootstrap is currently in the RC1 stage.  Twitter Bootstrap is turning two years old next month.
