Rogers, one of the top media and telecommunications companies in Canada, has named a new CEO. Guy Laurence, Vodafone’s UK chief executive officer, will now be the CEO of Rogers starting December 2nd.
Laurence has a lot of experience in the telecommunications industry and he will be succeeding Nadir Mohamed, who announced his retirement earlier this year.
“The board unanimously chose Guy as the best leader to succeed Nadir and to take the company forward,” said Alan Horn, the chairman of the board at Rogers Communications. “Guy is a strong, proven executive who has consistently delivered strong financial and operating results in highly complex and competitive markets. The breadth and depth of his experience in telecommunications, pay television and media are perfectly suited to Rogers and to the challenges and opportunities we see ahead.”
