Roku is a video streaming service that may be going public later this year, according to sources with Bloomberg. Roku makes set top boxes that connect TVs to the Internet.
The company still has to hire a bank for the process. Roku products competes with the Apple TV and Google Chromecast. Roku is working with Time Warner Cable to stream cable TV through the box.
Roku raised $60 million in funding last May in a round of funding that includes Hearst Corp., News Corp., British Sky Broadcasting, and Fidelity.
