Foursquare is a mobile application that is known for their users “checking in” to all sorts of venues.  Foursquare allows these venues to give offers to users for discounts if they check-in and they share revenue with the companies.  Now Foursquare is looking to raise a fourth round of funding at between $50-$100 million, which would put them at a valuation of over $700 million.

Foursquare has raised a total of $71.4 million in total funding from Andreessen Horowitz, Spark Capital, Union Square Ventures, SV Angel, O’Reilly AlphaTech Ventures, CrunchFund, and many angel investors.

Foursquare has around 25 million registered users and has around 150 employees.  People use Foursquare over one million times per day and over 5 million times daily to share where they are.
