Posted May 2, 2013

Microsoft is preparing to launch a new line of Surface tablets, which are going to be smaller than the original according to a report by DigiTimes.  The new Surface tablets are expected to be announced in the next few months, possibly at the Microsoft Build Conference in June.

The new Surface tablets are expected to have display sizes between 7 and 9 inches.  Samsung Electronics, LG Display, Corning, and Intel are the suppliers that are supposedly working on the new tablet.

The new Surface tablets will be competing against the Apple iPad Mini and smaller Android tablets.  The current line of Surface tablets are at 10.6 inches.
