Rumor: New iPhone Will Have A 19-Pin Mini Connector

Posted Jun 21, 2012

According to TechCrunch, Apple is working on adding a 19-pin port to replace the 30-pin port on the new upcoming iPhone. It would be similar to the size of the Thunderbolt port that is built into many MacBooks. Three independent manufacturers have told TechCrunch that the pin-out will be different. Apple’s 30-pin ports have been the standard since the third-generation iPod was released.
