SA Ignite’s Cloud-Based MU Assistant Software Automates Meaningful Use Reporting

Posted Oct 26, 2012

SA Ignite is a Chicago-based company that has created software called MU Assistant.  MU Assistant automates the “last mile” of achieving Meaningful Use (MU) by automating MU reporting and enabling one-click electronic attestation to Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services).  SA Ignite has closed a Series A round of funding.

The lead investor in the Series A round of funding was from Aligned Partners.  ?There?s a lot of excitement in the fast-growing B2B health IT space,? said Jodi Sherman Jahic, General Partner, Aligned Partners. ?As it grows, we see SA Ignite becoming the de-facto ?Turbo Tax? for Meaningful Use reporting as well as for other provider data reporting and monitoring needs.?

MU Assistant is a cloud-based software service that automatically aggregates and monitors MU measures across multiple EHR systems.  MU Assistant also provides decision support tools that allows easy selection of 90-day windows (for Medicare Payment Year 1) and suggesting MU exclusions that providers may claim.

The MU Assistant electronically provides data to the Medicare attestation website and provides a one-click attestation process.  MU Assistant then electronically archives supporting data for potential audits.

SA Ignite works directly with Intermountain Healthcare, Medical College of Wisconsin, George Washington Medical Faculty Associates, Riverside Medical Group, and Queens Long Island Medical Group as their clients.  SA Ignite was founded in 2009 and has helped providers garner millions of dollars in MU incentives across EHR products.
