Salesforce.com has launched a social advertising management tool called Social.com. Social.com is Salesforce.com’s third service within their Marketing Cloud services. Social.com will be a way for companies to connect with customers. Marketing Cloud is used by 55 companies in the Fortune 100. Two other businesses that Salesforce.com within the Salesforce.com Marketing Cloud include Buddy Media and Radian6.
?We think social is one of the most transformed ways to market,? said Salesforce.com’s VP of product marketing for Marketing Cloud Gordon Evans in an interview with VentureBeat. ?The audience has moved online ? and it?s an incredible targeting opportunity.?
Social.com is based on technology developed by Brighter Option, a company that Buddy Media acquired in February 2012. After Salesforce.com acquired Buddy Media in August 2012, Brighter Option and their team started to work for the larger CRM company. Brighter Option’s social ad management makes it easier for businesses to monitor and measure ads on Facebook and Twitter.
Social.com makes it possible to adjust advertising spending and connects brands with agencies. Radian6 can be used on Social.com to create relevant campaigns. Some companies that use Social.com include WPP Group, Mindshare, and Razorfish.
