Salesforce.com and Hewlett Packard has announced a strategic partnership. The two companies will launch a service called Salesforce Superpod. The Superpod service will use a dedicated instance of Salesforce.com’s ?multi-tenant cloud running on HP?s Converged infrastructure.? Salesforce.com CEO Marc Benioff said that the partnership will give their largest customers the choice of speed and performance of Salesforce while using HP’s hardware.
In a statement, HP?s President and CEO Meg Whitman said:
“Trends like cloud, mobility and big data are creating a ?New Style of IT? and transforming what enterprise customers expect and need from technology. I?m excited to have HP and salesforce.com work together to help customers tackle these exciting challenges,” stated HP CEO Meg Whitman.
The new service will be available for an additional fee to Salesforce enterprise customers, but the price is not yet known.
