Samsung and Apple Looking Into HZO’s Waterproof Technology

Samsung Electronics and Apple Inc. is looking into a new technology that could help smartphones from being damaged by water. HZO’s technology uses nano-scale film barriers that have special water repelling properties inside of electronic gadgets. This process is completed during manufacturing of the phone rather than the use of a case or sealant.

HZO demoed their technology during this past Consumer Electronics Show. HZO showed how it works on the iPhone and devices made by Samsung and Motorola. HZO kept dunking an iPhone into a fish tank full of water and it kept on working. HZO is hoping to sign big deals with Samsung and Apple and it is believed that they are in the process of signing up a major smartphone company.

“We showed the Samsung Chairman the technology with a Samsung Galaxy S that we had coated with HZO and he couldn’t believe his eyes,” stated an HZO representative. “Samsung is really excited by the tech.” Below is a video demo:
