Last week Samsung Electronics Inc. announced the dual-screen quad-core Hennessy Android flip phone. Now Samsung has announced another Android flip phone called the Galaxy Golden. The Galaxy Golden has two 3.7-inch AMOLED displays with 800 x 480 resolution. Each display is on both sides of the top and the bottom is used for a number pad and control pad. The Galaxy Golden has a dual-core 1.7GHz processor, 8-megapixel rear camera, and 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera.
The Galaxy Golden has LTE support and Android 4.2 Jelly operating system. The battery is 1820mAh and the phone also has a pedometer built in, which connects to the Samsung S Health app. There is also an FM radio tuner. There is an easy mode phone that modifies the software and moves certain features to the front. The price of the Galaxy Golden is 799,700 Korean won ($715 USD).
This phone appears to be for the senior citizen demographic that may have trouble seeing on higher resolution screens.
