Today Samsung announced the Galaxy Tab 3. The Tab 3 has a 7-inch 1024 x 600 display at 169 PPI. The tablet also has a 1.2GHz dual core processor and 3-megapixel rear-facing camera. The front camera is 1.3 megapixels. It runs on 3G, but not LTE. The Tab 3 runs on the Android 4.1 operating system.
The Tab 3 has two memory options: 8GB and 16GB. This can be expanded with a microSD memory card (up to 64GB). The Tab 3 has a thinner bezel than the Tab 2. The WiFi version of the Tab 3 will be available this May and the 3G-capable model will come on June. The Tab 3 is not compatible with the S Pen.
There is no word on pricing yet. It will likely retail for under $399 because the Galaxy Note 8.0 has more features and it retails for that amount.
