Samsung has announced a new smartphone known as the Samsung GALAXY Core.  The Galaxy Core has a 1.2GHz dual core processor, 8GB of internal memory, 1GB of RAM, a 4.3-inch display (480 x 800), and an 1,800mAh battery.  The GALAXY Core also has a 5-megapixel camera.  The GALAXY Core supports Dual SIM technology that makes it possible for users to access both SIM cards simultaneously.

The GALAXY Core runs on Android Jelly Bean and the Touchwiz user interface.  There is a front-facing camera that can be used for video chatting.

Some of the other features in the GALAXY Core include:

– Smart Stay – The ability to recognize when the user is looking at the phone.  This can save battery life dimming the screen and powering down using advanced facial recognition when the user looks away.

– Smart Alert – A feature that alerts the user to missed calls and messages after the GALAXY Core is picked up

– Motion UI – This activates common functions like refresh or mute using simple motion commands

– S Voice – This feature provides voice command functionality.

The GALAXY Core can be purchased in two different versions.  The first version has a Single SIM, which is coming in July.  The Dual SIM version of the phone is coming in May depending on the market that you are in.
