Samsung launches headphones to compete with Beats

Samsung has announced a new line of headphones called “Level.” The lineup was introduced in April. The Samsung Level Over is a $349.99 pair of over-ear Bluetooth headphones with active noise cancellation and NFC. The headphones can be plugged in using a detachable audio cable. Samsung launched an Android app for EQ customization called “SoundAlive.”

The Samsung Level On headphones cost $179.99. The Level On headphones are wired, on-ear headphones that have a clear and pure sound. The Level On headphones are foldable for easier transport and it looks similar to Level Over. The Samsung Level In headphones are a pair of earbuds that cost $149.99. And the Level Box is a Bluetooth speaker that competes against the Beats Pill, the Jawbone Jambox, Logitech UE Boom, and the Bose SoundLink Mini. The Samsung Level Box is priced at $169.99.

Apple recently acquired Beats Electronics for $3.2 billion. Since Apple owns Beats, it competes against the Samsung Level line of products.
