Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (KRX:005930) has developed advanced network solutions that is being used to deliver commercial LTE services to Latin America. Telefónica Chile (Movistar) recently announced the commercial availability of their LTE service throughout Chile. The partnership between Telefónica and Samsung was made in February 2013. This deal is expected to cover over 95% of the country’s LTE network including cities like Concepción and La Serena.
The two companies will make sure that 16 out of the 20 most populated cities are covered. Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (KRX:005930) also set up the Technical Support Center based in Santiago to offer quick support for Telefónica Chile’s LTE network and for future deployments in Latin America.
