Senzari is a Miami-based streaming music company that is seen as an alternative to Pandora in the United States and in international markets. Senzari has recently acquired WahWah.fm.
WahWah.fm is a company that was founded in 2010 by Philipp Eibach. WahWah.fm is a location based music application for the iPhone. This previously allowed users to broadcast personalized radio stations, which allows people to use the app to pick up and listen live.
Senzari did not disclose the financial details of the transaction, but said that it was an all-stock deal for 100% of the company including the technology and broadcast licenses. WahWah.fm has a legal streaming license for radio music in Germany.
WahWah.fm has several freelance developers in their staff and the companies are deciding whether they will be added to the Senzari team.
Senzari is live in the United States, United Kingdom, Spain, and Brazil. Senzari will hire 10 more people to work with Mr. Eibach in Berlin. The company is now looking for a data scientist.
An application with integrated functionalities of both companies is expected to arrive by the end of the year.
Senzari has 10 million songs in their catalog and has $3 million in funding from 500 Startups along with private angel investors in Miami, Boston, and Silicon Valley.
