Sharp Making Further Salary Cuts To Stay Afloat

Posted Sep 13, 2012

Sharp has been cutting costs as much as possible so they can stay above the water.  The company is laying off a large number of employees and now they are doubling the size of salary cuts to 10% for a year long period from their executives.  The 2013 bonuses are being chopped to half of what they were in June too.  Everyday employees will see bonus cuts and will take a 7% drop in salary for the same year.  Sharp is hoping to save 14 billion yen (roughly $180 million).
