Shooger is a Miami-based company that has a mobile community for daily deals. The company has raised $5 million in a first round of funding from Hudson Capital Group (HCG). Deals aggregated by Shooger are crowd-sourced, not just merchant submitted.
?Unlike daily deal sites that do not help to build either customer loyalty or the merchant?s long term revenues, Shooger is focused on building real, lasting engagement between local shoppers and merchants, through the creative use of crowd-sourced content and loyalty focused deals,? stated HCG President Steve Hudson.
Three of Shooger’s co-founders Alex Stancioff, Donick Cary, and Milen Mishkovsky also co-founded SugarShack Animation. Comedy Central picked up one of SugarShack Animation’s TV show “Lil’ Bush.” Donick Cary is an Emmy-award winning writer that has written shows for David Letterman, The Simpsons, and Bored To Death.
The Shooger app is currently available on the iPhone. Android and BlackBerry apps will be available soon.
