Silvercar Now Accepting Bookings For Dallas Airport Travelers Starting Today

Posted Jan 14, 2013

Silvercar is an Austin, Texas based company that allows you to rent silver 2013 Audi A4 vehicles.  The company is now accepting advance car rental bookings for the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport starting today.  Travelers can book a vehicle through the Silvercar app on the iOS or Android.

?We?re thrilled to debut the Silvercar concept at DFW Airport in the coming weeks,? stated Silvercar CEO Luke Schneider. ?The integration of Web, wireless, mobile and vehicle technologies helps Silvercar eliminate critical friction points in the car rental process; our pledge to travelers is a better car, and a better car rental experience, each and every time.?

After arriving at the airport terminal, Silvercar customers will be able to board DFW’s shuttle service through a consolidated car rental facility.  Silvercar customers will not have to wait in a check-in line or counter.  The customer experience is technology-enabled.

Silvercar customers will get a vehicle, Google Earth GPS navigation, Sirius/XM satellite radio, and a toll tag at no additional charge.  When returning the vehicle Silvercar charges users the average retail price for the fuel used plus a $5 service fee.  Silvercar raised around $11.2 million in funding around October 2012 from Austin Ventures, CrunchFund, SV Angel, Chris Dixon, and Dave Morin.
