Earlier this month we reported that Skype hit 45 million concurrent users. Skype has not shown any signs of slowing down since getting acquired by Microsoft. Now Skype has around 280 million users. This means that Skype’s user base has grown by over 30 million since late May.
Microsoft is not reporting how much revenue was generated by Skype in their earnings report, but we do know that 120 billion minutes of Skype calls were included in the quarter, which represents a year-over-year increase of 58%.
