If you are in a long-distance relationship, the odds are high that you often use FaceTime or Skype. According to research, Skype helps lessen negative outcomes when it comes to long-distance relationships.

Microsoft’s Idea Lab conducted a survey of Skype users in the U.S. and U.K. in January. Microsoft found that 96% of respondents said that the video call service helped them feel closer to their loved ones.

Around 61% of the respondents said that Skype improved their romantic relationships and 47% credit Skype with “keeping the love alive” while far apart. According to Idea Lab, 29% of the survey admitted to making a “naughty” call with Skype.
