Skype will soon release an update that will keep your chat message status in sync between different machines and devices. Once you start Skype on your phone, it downloads and alerts you about the messages that you have received since shutting down.
“We are working to synchronize chat message status across all of your devices so you will know the current status of all of your chats on every device you use to interact with Skype,” said Skype in a blog post.
These changes are expected to arrive sometime over the next few months. Ever since Microsoft acquired Skype, they have been integrating the VoIP throughout the Windows ecosystem. Outlook.com added Skype support and Windows Phone 8 received improved push notifications.
