Snapchat is now hitting around 350 million photo uploads per day, which puts them on par with Facebook, according to Snapchat co-founder Evan Spiegel. Spiegel announced the new milestone at the TechCrunch Disrupt conference in San Francisco.
What Is A Snap?
A snap is a photo or video message that Snapchat users send to their friends. The snap disappears after a few seconds of viewing it though. Facebook users are also uploading about 350 million photos per day.
Spiegel On Competition
Spiegel said that he does not believe that Facebook and Instagram are competitors. He believes that Snapchat content makes the app the perfect complement to other social networks.
