Social Media Aggregation Service RebelMouse Raises $10.25 Million

RebelMouse is a startup that lets users combine updates from their social networks.  RebelMouse lets you combine updates from social networks to create a “social front page.”  RebelMouse works with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google+, and LinkedIn.

RebelMouse has raised $10.25 million in Series A funding.  This round of funding was led by Oak Investment Partners and SoftBank Capital.  Sterling Investment Partners and Buddy Media co-founder Michael Lazerow also participated in this round.  RebelMouse was founded by chief executive officer Eric Berry.  Berry used to be the chief technology officer at The Huffington Post.

RebelMouse is hitting around 7 million monthly visitors and the company is planning to launch a native advertising solution.  This is up 900% since January.  The company has recently hired Jarrod Dicker.  Dicker used to lead social and content ad products at Time Inc.  The company also recently hired Andrea Harrison (former digital brand director at Pepsi) and Jake Beckman (former Bloomberg TV exec).  RebelMouse now has 36 employees.

Fred Harmon (Oak Investment Partners), Jordan Levy (SoftBank), and Eric Hippeau are joining RebelMouse’s board of directors.
