All this talk about 4K Ultra HD video capabilities at CES may make you wonder if you could get your hands on a camcorder that can record at that high of a quality for a reasonable price. You may be interested in the Sony FDR-AX100 4K Handycam camcorder.

This camcorder lets you record 30p videos at a 14-megapixel resolution. The Sony FDR-AX100 retails for around $2,000. This is quite a price drop from Sony’s first 4K camcorder, known as the FDR-AX1, which records 60p video for a price of $4,999.

The FDR-AX100 has a Zeiss lens and 12x optical zoom with an image stabilization feature. The FDR-AX100 also has a 3.5-inch LCD screen. The FDR-AX100 will be available this May.
