Sony Corporation has announced that they have released the PlayStation Vita TV, which is a small game console that will be available at the end of the year in Japan.  The Vita TV console looks similar to the PlayStation Vita.  The design is a small white box that connects to the TV.  The PlayStation Vita TV uses the PlayStation 3 Dual Shock 3 controller for playing games.

The PlayStation Vita TV is set to arrive in Japan on November 14th.  It is unknown whether this console will be available in other regions.  The PlayStation Vita TV will retail for 9,954 yen ($100) when it arrives.

When the PlayStation Vita TV launches, it will have around 1,300 games available because it supports PSP and PSone games that are available for download on the PlayStation Network.
