Mobile payment company Square has updated its iPhone and iPad applications today. The company also redesigned their website. The mobile applications are faster in speed and the number of screens for transactions have been reduced.

Square also introduced a feature that is beneficial for those who often make transactions under $25. Signatures are no longer required for transactions that are $25 or less.

Square also launched a new feature called “pay with your name.” This allows anyone to opt-in to the directory listing and can add a “card case” for making payments quicker to merchants.

Square has shipped over 500,000 credit card readers thus far. They are also processing over a million transactions per month. Square is now processing about $4 million in mobile payments daily.
