Mobile credit card processor company Square will start selling their physical Point-of-Sale (POS) system through Apple retail stores. The Square Stand turns an iPad into a full credit card terminal and point-of-sale system that works with the Square Register app. It also works with barcode scanners, cash drawers, and receipt printers.
The Square Stand costs $300 and it will start shipping today. It will be in Apple U.S. retail stores starting tomorrow. The Square Stand has a 30-pin connection, which means that the iPad 2 and iPad 3 devices can be used with the Square Stand.
Square will be releasing a Lightning compatible version of the Square Stand soon.
