Star Wars: Episode VII will be set 30 years after ‘Return of the Jedi’

Star Wars: Episode VII, an upcoming film that is going to be directed by J.J. Abrams, will be set 30 years after the “Return of the Jedi” film. Walt Disney CEO Bob Iger shared the news about the new film at the annual shareholders meeting in Portland, Oregon, according to
Reuters. The new film will start a “trio of new young leads” and some “familiar faces.” Some of the actors that are being considered for the film include Adam Driver and Lupita Nyong’o. R2D2 is going to be in the film. The filming of the movie will start in May and will be released on December 18, 2015.
