According to the L.A. Times, a wax figure of Steve Jobs is coming to Madame Tussauds in Hong Kong next week. The wax figure is going to come nearly around the same time of one year after Steve Jobs passed away. The wax figure will be unveiled on September 27th before making it’s way around other locations in China.
The wax model cost around $200,000 to create and it is based on pictures taken of Steve Jobs during a magazine shoot for Fortune magazine in 2006. His arms are crossed and he has a pair of silver-rimmed Lunor glasses. He is also wearing a black turtleneck, New Balance sneakers, and Levi’s 501 jeans.
Artists spent around 3 months working on the wax figure. The hardest part was creating the hair, which was added one strand at a time using a forked needle. Silk threads were used to create the veining in his eyes.
The Steve Jobs wax figure will be in Hong Kong until November 26th and then it will move to Madame Tussauds Bangkok and Madame Tussauds in Shanghai.
Jobs passed away on October 5th after an extensive battle with pancreatic cancer.
