Steven Sinofsky has joined Andreessen Horowitz as a board member. Sinofsky is known for being a former executive at Microsoft that was in charge of the company’s recovery from Windows Vista through the creation of Windows 7. Sinofsky will represent Andreessen Horowitz on the boards of portfolio companies as opportunities come up. He will not be working as a full-time board partner though.
“Andreessen Horowitz is a VC firm that believes deeply in helping entrepreneurs and helping change the product and business landscape,” stated Sinofsky.
Sinofsky will remain as an Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) at Harvard Business School.
