Movie director Steven Spielberg has acquired the rights to make a film about WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange. Some of the names that came up to play Assange include Macauly Culkin, Orlando Bloom, and Tilda Swinton.
Wikileaks, the book by David Leigh and Luke Harding, covers Assange’s life from his childhood in Australia all the way up to the point that Assange was arrested for co-founding WikiLeaks website and leaking government documents. Assange registered his name in the U.K. as an entertainment services trademark to prevent unauthorized endorsements of products and services using his name.
