Stripe is a payments startup that has raised $80 million in funding with a valuation of $1.75 billion. Stripe makes it easier for businesses to accept payments online and the service competes directly against PayPal.
Founders Fund led this round of funding. New investor Khosla Ventures and existing investor Sequoia Capital joined this round. Allen & Co. also put money into the company.
Stripe will be using the funding for international expansion. Stripe is currently accepted in 12 countries.
