Styleseat raises $10.2 million in funding

Styleseat is an e-commerce website that focuses on beauty products. Styleseat has raised $10.2 million in Series A funding led by Lightspeed Ventures with participation from Lowercase Capital. This brings the company’s total funding to $14 million thus far.


The funding will be used for growing the platform and hiring additional talent. Styleseat launched in 2011 and went from 55,000 salons, spas, and beauty professionals using their platform to over 200,000. These pros were able to grow their revenues around 68% within the first 15 months of using the service. Styleseat uses a freemium-based business model. The premium services are pro tools like e-mail marketing, advanced scheduling, etc.

Styleseat can be used for finding stylists and other beauty professionals for services like waxing and nail design. Stylists can use the website to manage appointments, clients, and profiles.
