T-Mobile To Sell The iPhone In Around 3-4 Months Without Subsidies

Posted Jan 9, 2013

At CES 2013, T-Mobile CEO John Legere did not hold back.  Legere reportedly called AT&T’s network “crap” in New York City.  He also criticized AT&T’s marketing by saying that he “saw more honesty on a Match.com ad than AT&T’s coverage maps.”  Legere also said that Verizon is so focused on rolling out LTE in “dust bowl states.”

Legere also said that the company will be getting the iPhone in the next 3-4 months without subsidies as a way to differentiate themselves from AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon.  “If the old industry structure chooses to ignore what we do,? stated Legere. ?That?s a potential.?

Legere also said that customers have brought around 1.9 million unlocked iPhones on to their network and that number is growing by 100,000 every month.
