Telogis is a startup that has raised $93 million in funding from Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers. Telogis has developed a location-based services platform for companies that have a large mobile workforce, according to TechCrunch.
The funding will be used to push for expansion and prepare to go public next year. Telogis works in 16 markets that range from utilities to waste management. The company also works with large manufacturers like Ford Motor Company to integrate their technology into commercial vehicles.
Telogis has been bootstrapping thus far and is profitable. Telogis is expecting to hit $85 million in revenues this year and over $100 million this year. Telogis decided to raise the funding because of Kleiner Perkins’ experience with SaaS businesses.
