Tesco has announced a new budget tablet called the Hudl. The Hudl is a 7-inch tablet that has a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, dual-band WiFi, scratch-resistant HD display screen (243ppi), 16GB memory (can be expanded to 48GB with a microSD), and 9 hour battery life. Android 4.2.2 is powering the Hudl tablet.
Hudl users can access Tesco’s range of digital services on the tablet including blinkbox, movies/TV/music, and Clubcard TV. The Hudl tablet is available in four colors and will be available in stores and online starting September 30th with a price of £119. Hudl will also be available on Cludcard Boost so customers can double the value of their vouchers, meaning that many people will be able to buy the tablet for only £100.
?Hudl is a colorful, accessible tablet for the whole family to enjoy. The first stage in our tablet offering, it?s convenient, integrated and easy to use with no compromise on spec. Customers are quite rightly very discerning about the technology they buy so we knew we had to be competitive on all fronts,? stated Tesco CEO Philip Clarke.
