Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) now has over 50 Tesla Supercharger locations. Tesla Motors is known for manufacturing the award-winning and high-safety vehicle, the Model S electric sedan. Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) has recently opened three Supercharger locations in South Dakota, which bring the total number of Supercharger stations in the U.S. to 50. The Supercharger stations in South Dakota have been opened along I-90. The Superchargers in South Dakota are located in Rapid City, Murdo, and Mitchell.

The Supercharger stations enable Model S drivers to drive across the country free. The Tesla Superchargers have powered Model S vehicles with over 6 million miles of range, which saved almost 250,000 gallons of fuel. Tesla Superchargers enables Model S vehicles to travel for around 3 hours. Charging the Model S takes around 20 to 30 minutes by using 120 kilowatts of power. The Tesla superchargers are located near places like cafes, shopping centers, and diners so that drivers can multi-task while their vehicle is being charged.

The Model S electric vehicle has won many awards such as the Motor Trend 2013 Car of the Year, the TIME?s Best Invention of the Year 2012, a high score from Consumer Reports, and a 5 star safety rating from the NHTSA. The Model S has a range of 265 miles, which is the longest range for all electric vehicles. The Model S can go from 0-60 in 4.2 seconds and it delivers 443 pound-feet of torque.
