Tesla Motors Inc (TSLA) Opens 2 Supercharger Stations In Florida

Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) has opened up 2 supercharge stations in 2 days in Florida.  Yesterday Tesla Motors unveiled a new supercharging station at the Town Center Plaza, which is east of I-95 at the St. Lucie West Boulevard exit.  This is the first station of its kind in the southeastern U.S.  Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) is hoping to have charging stations along the I-95 corridor by the end of the year.

Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) also opened up another Supercharger station today in Fort Myers.  This will allow for travel between Miami, Tampa, and Orlando.

Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) Superchargers make it possible for Model S owners to travel for free between cities along highways that are very busy.  Superchargers offer around half a charge in about 20 minutes and are placed strategically to allow Tesla owners to drive from station to station with a minimal amount of stops.  The Tesla Superchargers are generally placed near amenities like roadside diners, cafes, shopping centers, etc.

This past May, Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) announced that they were going to triple their Supercharger network by the end of the year.  Tesla’s flagship vehicle, the Tesla Model S, has been reported as the best car that Consumer Reports has ever reviewed.  General Motors even has a “task force” that is focused on watching the growth of Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA).
