Hertz Global Holdings has added Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) electric cars at two airports in California.  Hertz has introduced the Tesla Model S and Roadster rechargeable cars to their fleet at the San Francisco and Los Angeles airports.  Hertz did not specify how many Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) vehicles will be available or when they will be available.

This addition is a line-up of higher-priced cars that Hertz added to its fleet under the Dream Cars program.  Other vehicles include Ferrari and Lamborghini vehicles.  This past July, Hertz won final regulatory approval for the $2.3 billion acquisition of Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group.  These merged companies compete with other car rental companies like Avis Budget Group and Enterprise Holdings.

Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) has plans to deliver 21,000 Model S sedans this year, which are priced from around $70,000.  They plan to double this volume next year when expanding their sales in Europe and Asia.
