Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) will be aggressively expanding their Supercharger network in Europe in the next year. Tesla Motors did not see how many stations that will be building, but this number will be based on areas with higher sales, according to MarketWatch.
The Supercharger stations can recharge a Tesla Model S in 20 minutes, which enables the vehicle to travel between 150 and 200 miles. Some models can be charged to drive up to 300 miles at the Supercharger, but it will require longer than 20 minutes. Using a Supercharger is free for Model S drivers.
Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) is currently seeing strong sales in Norway, but they will start expanding to Germany, Spain, and Belgium soon.
“Wherever there is already a certain density of cars, we will strategically expand the network,” stated Tesla’s head of business development Diarmuid O’Connell.
