Tesla Motors Inc (TSLA) opens Supercharger in Switzerland

Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) has opened a new Supercharger for their vehicles in Switzerland. This will enable seamless travel between Zurich and Geneva. Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) will be opening more Supercharger stations in Germany and Austria. The new Switzerland stations is based in the city of Lully.


The exact location of the Supercharger is at the A1 at Restoroute Rose de la Broye, Restoroute 1470 Lully FR, Switzerland. You can charge your vehicle for free of charge. Tesla Superchargers let Model S owners bypass the onboard charging system by plugging 120 kilowatts of DC power to the battery using special cables.

By the end of 2014, 100% of the population of the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and Denmark will live within 320 kilometers of a Supercharger location. Next year, 90% of the population of England, Wales, and Sweden will live within 320 kilometers of a Supercharger. Superchargers can charge a battery to around half capacity in 30 minutes.
