Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) has made a few major announcements this past week. Tesla has opened up a service center in Rocklin, California and a Supercharger station in Rockford, Illinois.
Rocklin Service Center
Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) has opened up a service center in Rocklin, California. The Tesla Motors Rockin service center was opened in a former Kia dealership at 4361 Granite Drive Rocklin, CA 95677. The city of Rocklin is hoping that Tesla Motors adds sales of Tesla vehicles at this location, according to BizJournals.
The 18,000 square-foot building was most recently used for fixing Harley-Davidson vehicles. The structure was originally built as the Lasher Auto Group Kia store. That shut down in 2005 after one year. Tesla Motors installed four hydraulic lifts in the service center.
In California, Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) has plans to open up more service centers in Brea, Palo Alto, Santa Barbara, Sunnyvale, and Walnut Creek. Sometime in the near future, Tesla Motors will also open up service centers in Alaska, Arizona, Canada (Calgary), Connecticut, Florida, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan (Detroit), Nebraska (Omaha), New Jersey (Springfield), New Mexico (Albuquerque), New York (Long Island), Oklahoma (Oklahoma City), Tennessee (Nashville), and Utah (Salt Lake City).
Rockford, Illinois Supercharger
