Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) has provided a new energy update for its Superchargers. Tesla Motors wrote this in a tweet: ?#WattsUp: Superchargers have delivered 5.8 million kWh of energy, offsetting 664,359 gallons of gas.? This is spread across 114 Superchargers around the world, which include 94 in the United States, 17 in Europe, and 3 in China.
Tesla Superchargers let Model S drivers travel for free between cities along highways. Superchargers can provide half a charge in as little as 20 minutes and are strategically placed to allow owners to drive from station to station with minimal stops. The Superchargers are placed between diners, cafes, and malls.

Tesla Superchargers are capable of charging Model S vehicles 16x faster than most public charging stations. Tesla Motors will soon roll out 120 kW Superchargers, which are 33% faster than the current Supercharger.
