In 2008, when Top Gear tested the Tesla Roadster, it claimed that the car ran out of power after just 55 miles. Tesla unsuccessfully sued BBC over that review on March 2011. On October of 2011, a London court rejected Tesla’s libel claim. Earlier this week, Britain’s Court of Appeals rejected Tesla’s appeal and threw out the lawsuit.
The judges did not think “the case which Tesla seeks to make … has any real prospect of success.”
Tesla also recently challenged a New Your Times story in which the reporter claimed his test Model S ran out of juice during a road trip.
