Staples is one of the first major retailers to sell a 3D printer.  Staples is selling 3D Systems’ Cube 3D printer in select stores and through their website for a price of $1,299 at the end of June.

The Cube 3D printer can print in two materials: strong recyclable ABS and compostable PLA.  The Cube printer also uses material cartridges in 16 different colors.  The Cube 3D will let you print anything up to 5.5″ x 5.5″ x 5.5″.  It also has WiFi so loading prints is very simple.  3D Systems’ Cube’s software is compatible with Windows or Mac.

3D Systems sells the Cubify Invent software and plastic cartridge refills, known as CubeSticks.  The Cube Print Pad for the Cube 3D printer retails for $99.99 each at Staples.
