Remember the “Dude, you’re getting a Dell” guy?  Ben Curtis starred in Dell ads around the early 2000s.  Curtis, 32, wants Dell to hire him again.  In an e-mail to Bloomberg, Curtis said “I think they?re making a huge mistake and simply need to bring back the Dell Dude! That?s it. That?s all they need to do. If they brought me back, their sales, stock and media presence would skyrocket. That is by FAR the smartest move they could make.”  Curtis landed the role of “Slacker Steve” in 2000, but he lost the role after being busted for trying to buy marijuana in 2003 while wearing a kilt.

Curtis landed a few roles here and there following the Dell campaign.  He starred in the award-winning short film Raccoon in 2006.  He was also featured on the companion DVD to Triumph The Insult Comic Dog’s CD Come Poop With Me to confront Subway spokesperson Jared Fogle.  In 2007, Curtis was spotted as a waiter at a Mexican restaurant and he revealed that his band’s name is Whale.  Check out one of Curtis’ classic commercials below:
